How Do I take care of my nails after pedicure?
Especially when we are on holiday o the Island of the Gods we spend a lot more time in the swimming pool and at the beach. Please avoid wearing closed in shoes, walking on the beach, swimming, showering or getting wet for at least 2 hours after your pedicure at Cleopatra Spa Bali as this will to allow your nails to cure and to properly dry.
How Do I take care of my nails after manicure?
Especially when we are on holiday o the Island of the Gods we spend a lot more time in the swimming pool and at the beach. Please avoid digging into your handbag or pockets for money or keys and don’t attempt to do up zippers or buttons or tie shoelaces, as these will unfortunately mark your nails.
How do I take care of my acrylic nails?
-We recommend re-fill and maintenance treatment every 2 to 3 weeks.
-Use cuticle oil and hand cream to help keep the nails flexible, re-hydrated and keep your cuticles soft.
-Do not use sun beds for 48 hours after your treatment as this can cause discoloration and lifting problems.
-Do not use spray tans or tanning creams for 48 hours.
-Always use gloves when doing the dishes or when using cleaning products such as bleach or detergents.
-Always use a base coat before applying any nail polish and then seal it with a top coat.
-When you want to remove your nail polish always use an 'Acetone Free Remover'.
How do a take care of my Shellac and OPI Gel nail polish?
Your nails should remain shiny and chip-free for 14-to-21 days, if you take care of them responsibly. Don’t worry about your day to day activities: taking out keys, working on the computer and light cooking etc. However, do take into consideration the following tips:
-Protect: If you’re going to be washing dishes, scrubbing floors or gardening, you should reach for a pair of gloves and this is especially important if you’ll be using any harsh detergents or chemicals such as bleach, which can cause the shellac to lift or chip at the edge of your nails. Protecting your nails is just as important when you’re having fun, as when you’re working. Swimming in chlorinated pools and spending extra time outside in the sun can fade the colour and weaken the shellac. Remember to wash and dry your nails carefully after you’ve been in the pool and apply hand cream plus an SPF product to protect skin and nails.
-Moisturise: Keeping your skin moisturised will extend the life of your nails and keep them looking healthy and youthful. Use hand cream during the day and a richer cuticle oil at night before bed. The oil will keep nails from flaking for lack of moisture during the night whilst you sleep.
-Maintain: Add a layer of clear top coat polish to your nails once a week. This will maintain a strong layer of protection between your polish and the environment. If you’re following the previous two rules – protect and moisturise – adding a clear top coat every 7 days will be all you need to keep the polish glossy.
-Do Not: Pick at the polish or attempt to soak nails in acetone remover; this will weaken your nails and decrease the amount of time your next shellac or OPI Gel nail polish will last.
What is Shellac and OPI Gel nail polish?
-These products are thin and strong enough to be applied similarly to nail polish, however they are cured in a way that gives the polish great flexibility and durability, whilst they also have the incredible shine associated only with gel nails.
-Typical nail polish dries by evaporation, which means your manicure is not cured until 2-3 hours after your treatment. However, Shellac and OPI Gel are cured by UV light, and within minutes, your nails are completely dry by the time your manicure is finished, whilst also being strong enough to withstand accidental knocks.
Can everyone have waxing performed despite skin products previously used and skin conditions?
It is vital that you inform your therapist if you have been using any of the listed products below:
-Alpha Hydroxy Acids (Glycolic, Lactic)
-Other Acne medications not listed below
What should I avoid after my waxing treatment?
-Sun exposure for 12 hours
-A hot bath for 24 hours
-Abrasives, scrubs or exfoliants for 24 hours
-Deodorant for 12 hours
When can waxing NOT be performed?
-When you have sunburned or irritated skin
-Moles cannot be waxed
-If you have had a light chemical peel or micro dermabrasion in the past 7 days
-If you have had laser skin resurfacing within the past year on that area.
-If you have had physician administered peel within the past 2 years.
How do I take care of my spray tan for lasting results?
-Do not use soap when showering as it strips your skin. Instead use a gentle body wash.
-Do not swim or shower until a minimum of 2 hours after the application.
-Moisturise your skin twice a day, as this will reduce the rate at which your skin exfoliates.
-We recommend that you do not exercise or perspire until after you have had your first shower.
-When showering, do not be concerned if some of the initial spray tan solution washes off. This is the excess solution which your skin was not able to absorb.
-Do not apply any perfume or cream to your skin prior to your tanning session.
-Exfoliate your skin to remove any dead skin cells prior to your treatment.
-Wear loose and dark clothing to your session as to not stain any light coloured clothing and to not have your tan rub off whilst it is processing.
How long does eye lash and eye brow tinting last for?
This treatment generally lasts for around 3-5 weeks, were you are advised to not get them wet for at least 24 hours, as you want to make sure the dye is completely dry. Then after the 24 hour time period you can get them wet, exercise, watch a tearjerker movie, and peel onions without the hassle of mascara streaking.
Why is massage therapy both physically and mentally important?
Stressed? Sluggish? Achy? Whilst a massage provides physical relaxation, it can help relieve mental and emotional stress as well. Some of the benefits you may not have considered include increased blood flow, the release of toxins from tense muscles, increased mobility of the neck and shoulders, improved lymphatic drainage, relief of anxiety and tiredness, and improved alertness and concentration.
How can I be best prepared for my wedding day?
-Schedule a hair and make-up trial with Ranny our fabulous bridal specialist.
-Commence your regular facial regimen six months prior to your wedding.
-Get your mani/pedi at least 24 hours beforehand.
-Have any waxing treatments at least 3-5 days before the big day as you want any redness or irritation to have the chance to go down.
-Have your spray tan 48 hours beforehand.
-Wash your hair the night before and not on your wedding day, as you want some natural oils to filter through your hair follicles.
-Be sure to coordinate schedules between your photographer and the Cleopatra Spa Bali team, as the photographer will want to get some happy snaps of your preparations.
-Get a great night sleep beforehand and if you happen to wake up with puffy eyes, use grandma’s good old home remedy and apply some chilled green tea or chamomile tea bags under your eyes.
What training do your stylists have?
All therapists in the Cleopatra Spa Bali team come to us with previous industry experience, whilst the management also strive to always educate the team members on the latest and greatest in treatment techniques. Throughout the year, each therapist attends in house training events and workshops that are provided by product representatives and professional trainers. An example is where OPI regularly sends specialist trainers down from Jakarta to Cleopatra Spa Bali in order to conduct practical workshop sessions on the application of OPI Gel nail polish and OPI Acrylic nails.
Can I still come if I'm pregnant?
Of course! During pregnancy your body endures a lot of stress and tension, so at Cleopatra Spa Bali, the team offer a variety of treatments perfect for the expecting mum. Just be sure to consult your physician first, then call us to see what spa service will make you feel new again, as there are some treatments and essential oils to avoid uterine stimulation.
